The Japcneso Government has decided to begin the construction this year of fivo warships, each of 28,000 tons displacement. Tour of the vessels will be cruisers arid will be built at Barrow-in-Fumess. The fifth will bo ;i battleship and will be built in Japan. All the fivo ships will carry 13.5-in. guns, as against the 12.4-iii. guns on the Japanese battleships now under construction. The vessels aro to bo completed in 1911. ' . '
