Mr. Lewis went to a newspaper office ,and caused the native newsboys to be paraded. He identified the one accused of making indecent overtures to his girls, and marched him to vacant ground behind the office, whero he shot him dead. Lewis then surrendered to the police, and was charged with murder, being released on a bail of .£3OOO. Public opinion is entirely favourable to the accused.
