• The -new air-space .'.by-law, drafted by ;the By-Laws Gommitiee : bf:the City Corporation, is a\iegulation that lias not yet ; reooived:-tho -attention its importance .merits. In'its'principal clauso it reduces by fifty.'per.cent. tho. minimum air-space that must be provided adjacent to a-dwell-ing in-aiiy-part' of Greater Wellngtou, othor than .the. late- Wellington /Ward. Tho. first muttorings-of-a-storm of protest., against- the-enactment, of the pro'pbsed by-law have already been heard. The Hataitai- Electors' Association has forwarded a'strongly-worded protest to-the City Council, and it is anticipated that similar protests will follow from associations in other suburbs. ■.
