FEILDING ITEMS.
The Rugby Union Cup contests commence this, afternoon. Three of the matches are to bo played in Feilding. The Bank of New Zealand has dccirlcd to meet the development of the Rongotea portion of this district by establishing a branch of its business there for regular daily operations. Hitherto Mr. E. A. Campbell has been visiting Rongotea on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Mr. Campbell lus.s been appointed local manager, and has now taken up his permanent duties thorp. He will l)e assisted by Mr. Laurie Smith, who has been a teller in the Foilding bank.
Bunnythorpc amateurs gave a very fair production of the drama "Withered Leaves" as an entertainment in aid of a fund for alterations to tho local tennis courts.
