HOUNDSDITCH OUTRAGE.
THE TRIAL BEGINS. By Telenraph—Press Association-OoDyrielit London, May 1. The trial has commenced at tho Old Bailey, before Mr. Justice Grantham and a jury, of the persons charged with the murder of three policeoien, the wounding of two others, and with conspiracy to break and enter into tho premises of Mr. H. S. Harris, jeweller, of Houndsditch, on December 10 last. Tho prisoners, Russian subjects, are: Jacob Peters, aged twenty-four, tailor. John Zelin or Rosen, aged twenty-six, barber. Zurka , Dubof, aged twenty-four, painter. , Nina Vassilleva, aged twenty-three, cigarette-maker. On the suggestion of Mr. Justice Grantham, the charges of constructive murder against Peters and Dubof were withdrawn, and they are now charged with being accessories. Zelin and Vassilleva have to answer charges of murder. Zelin (or Rosen) and tho other three are also charged with conspiring to enter the jeweller's shop with intent to commit n felony.
