THE NAMING OF WARSHIPS.

AFTER NEW ZEALAND TOWNS? . Lecturing on behalf of the Navy League at Uppingham (England), Lieutenant H. T. C. ICnox, who visited New Zealand in 1009, said that the business of the league was so to educate public opinion on naval matters that each year it would bo a fraction easier for. the Government to ask for the large sums of money necessary for the fleet. He hoped that in this Coronation year they might nnmo some cruisers after cities in Greater Britain, such as Montreal, Quebec, Winnipeg, or Vancouver, Auckland, Wellington, Dimedin, Christchurch, or Lyttclton, Brisbane, Adelaide, or Perth. They might also have a Madras, Bengal, or Bombay. They had already a Natal, and a Good Hope, and should shortly have a Sydney and Melbourne.
