PLUMBERS' CONFERENCE.
— a — DOMINION AWARD DISCUSSED. - The conference of delegates from tho Plumbers' Unions in the Dominion was continued-in the Y.M.C.A, rooms yesterday s Mr. T. .il'Laughlin presiding. A considerable part of the day was spent on tho rules for the Plumbers'nrid Gaffitters' Federation, the rules being finally drafted and endorsed. Several directions were Riven to tho Executive Council, with tho object of strengthening tho Federation. An effort is to bo made to form unions in the various districts where there are no unions, at present. _Somo,,timo .wps.-spsut-, in .discussing the Plumbers Registration Bill, v/liich was drafted last session by tho Hon. D. Buddo. Jho Bill was considered clause by clause, and although, generally ~ satisfactory, a number of suggested alterations were put forward. The wording of the alterations will be drafted nt a later date. A draft dominion award was also under consideration, and will be further dis-cussed-when the conference resumes today. If arrangements can be made, delegates intend to interview Ministers, and put. their views on the 'Plumbers Registration Bill bsforo the Government.
