Their prices' were ns follow:—Noblc and Hoare's bsst pale durable wearing body, 17s. Cd.; best hard drying body, 175.; best hard drying carriage, 12s. Cd.; best black japan, 125.; best gold srae, Bs. Tenders for the. supply and delivery of 135 tone of copper wire were received and dealt with by the Post and Telegraph Department as follow:—Successful tenderer, Jos?nh Nathan and Co. (Limited), Wellington, £61 3s. Gd. per ton. Unsuccessful tenderers: Samuel Brown (Limited), Wellington, ,CG7 10s.; Mason, Srruthers; and Co. (Limited), Christchurch), .£M ■ Is. j P. R. Baillie and Co., Wellington. ,£f)9 Is. id.; John Burns and Co., (Limited), Auckland, *!U4O tor 135 tons. The successful tenderers for the supply of galvanised-iron wiro were Mason, Strutlicrs, and Co. (Limited), Christchurch, XII 10s. Gd. (2001b. per mile), .£ll (4001b. nor mile); and, the unsuccessful tenderer?, Samuel Brown (Limited) Wellington; Joseph Nathan and Co. (Limited), Wcllineton; John Dulhie and Co. (Limited). Wellington; John Burns and Co. (Limited), Auckland.
