HARBOUR BOARD ELECTIONS. The Kiwitea County Council, at its meeting at Kimbolton last Thursday,: resolved:—"That in the opinion Of this council the present cumbersome, expensive, and unfair method of electing representatives of the combined districts to the Harbour Board is against the interests of the ratepayers of tho counties and road districts; the electors in the boroughs are. unduly favoured owing to their qualifications as compared with the qualifications of electors in counties ; that the election being held on the same day as the. Borough Council election gives the borough electors an altogether unfair advantage. The results could not be expected to justify cither the large expense or the loss of time and inconvenience to ratepayers in counties."
