ENTERTAINMENTS.
THEATRE ROYAL. There was another largo attendance at the Theatre Royal on Saturday night, when the current programme was staged for the last time. The programme was well received, Miss Mabel Fowler for her singing-being recalled three times. Miss Ettio Williams, in the harem skirt, was recalled, and appeared for-the last time. Daly and O'Brien, the tanglefoot dancers, and the .Williamson, girls, also appeared for the last time. The change of programme to be presented to-night will include Mr. Knox (baritone), Madame Clementine (acrobat); and the Teappearance of the Gibson Girls, Mr. W. Leslie (serio), and Messrs. Scott Bros, (comedians). Scats may be booked at the Dresden at afee of'Cd. THE KING'S THEATRE. Inteiesting pictures and bright music kept a large crowd amused at the' King's Theatre on Saturday evening, when last week's programme was' screened for the last time. The fare 'was as varied as tho most exacting could demand, and the operator showed the pictures to the very best advantage. A complete change of programme is announced "for to-night.. HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE. The new programme to be presented at His Majesty's Theatre this evening will include that stirring moral drama, "Ten Nights in a Bar Room," one of. the most powerful sermons against the abuse of liquor ever presented to . the public. Other pictures from the leading nimmakei's will also be presented. On Saturday night there was a very large attendance, and the various items on the interesting programme were greatly appreciated. ERNEST PARKES CONCERT. The concert to bo tendered (o Mr. Ernest Parkes in the Town Hall on Friday next promises to bo a great success. The concert is under the patronage of his Worship the Mayor and Mayoress, and several members of the Cabinet have intimated their intention of being present. Tickets may ba obtained at the Dresden Rooms, where the 3s. scats may also be reserved. BENEFIT CONCERT. At St. James's Hall, Lower .Hutt. on Wednesday next a benefit concert will be given by the Savages, Mountebanks, and Gaymakers' Clubs. The concert is in aid of funds to provide a cot in the Wellington . Hospital for tha Hutt .children. Amongst those- who are contributing to the programme are Messrs. R. Robinson, J. Dykes, C. Stevens, and T. M. Wilford. and Misses B. Miles, N. Haybittle, and N. Lynch. Special train . arrangements have been made. The last train will leave Lower Hutt at 10.45 p.m. A bus will bo at the hall to convey patrons to tho train. The prices of admission are 2s. and Is. ' BAND CONCERT. ■ The crowded state of the Town Hall last evening gave striking evidence of the Wellington Garrison. Band's popularity with Wellington music-lovers. The band submitted a very commendable programme;, and all the selections met with their due meed of approval. The two items; "La Travintn" (Verdi) and "William Tell" (Rossini) were rendered exceedingly well, and "Abide With Me" (Liddle), a cornet solo by Bandsman J. Parker, was another item that was greatly appreciated. During an interval, Mr. E. Parkes rendered "Thora" . (Stephen Adams) so well that an encore was inevitable.
