MISSIONS TO SEAMEN.
The Missions to Seamen Institute wa again well filled with an appreciate audience last evening, on the occasion o a concert given by Mrs. Lindsay an nnrtv Mr. J. P- Cummmgs occupied th chair' in tho absence of Mr. ~1. Moon the missioncr, who is still indisposed Miss Glasson opened the programme wil; a vio'in solo, which was much appro ciat.cd, and Miss Moadowcroft was en cored- for a song. • Miss Blanchard gav bright elocutionary items, am Mvf Lindsay's and Miss Upham s duels wer heartilv applauded. Mr. Verne was we] received in his songs and recitation, am Miss Glasson was encored for anothc violin solo. Miss Upham, who sang ver; sweetly, received a double encore. Mrs Glnsso'n and Mr. W. Gardner acted a accompanists. Several popular choruse were sung by tho audience, and an anius ing conundrum competition was won b; sailors from ships in port. Tho per formers were accorded a hearty vote o thanks at the conclusion of the concert Mrs.; Lindsay briefly responding.
