FOR NEW FREEZING WORKS. (By Telegraph-Special Correspondents Palmerston, March 30. A meeting of farmers was held hew yesterday to further discuss the question of erecting co-operativo freezing works in tho Manawntu district. Mr. J. Balsillio presided, and thcro was a representative gathering. The chairman explained what had led up to the matter being brought forward, and detailed what had been done up to the present time. At a recent meeting in Wellington a resolution had been passed to promote a limited liability company to acquiro tho plant, etc., of tho Uanks Co-operative Meat Company (Ngahauranga), with a nominal capital of ■£50,(100 in Xl' shares. A provisional directorate had also been set up. After a considerable amount of discussion, it was decided to abandon tho project to establish a freezing works in the Matmwatu district, and to support tho project of establishing works at Ngahauranga,
