Most of the team are young players, and villi the confidence gained last season by victories over some of the strongest teams, an even better record is looked for. The juniors' record is a disappointing one, and better results are hoped for this coming season. The fourth-class team played really fine football. Their record would have been a. better one had systematic training been indulged in. The tournament was licld in Nelson, and was a success in every way. Congratulations are extended to the Kelson Old Boys in winning the shield. Our team, though not successful, did their very best. This Easter teams from Nelson, and possibly AA r anganui Old Boys will visit us, a' d members are asked to give every i .istance to the incoming committee to make the tournament a success. . In the seven-a-side tournament our representatives were defeated in the semi-final. The fourth-class team played the. High School Old Boys' third fifteen at Palmcrston North, scoring 3 points to their opponents' G. In the Swifts swimming carnival teams race a team representing the club was too severely handicapped to gain success.
