SELLING A RAILWAY TICKET.

Thoma9 Doranand Mrs. Bennie Wright were charged at the Police Court to-day with selling tickets on railways, a portion of which had already been used for part of tho journey for which it was issued. It was explained by Sub-Inspector Hendry that the male defendant had gone down to Wellington from Auckland, aaid that while there ho lost the return half of his ticket. At the suggestion of tho female defendant he then bought a. return ticket to Auckland, and sold the unuted portion in Auckland through an advertisement. i Defendants- said they were not aware they were doing wrong in selling part of the ticket. A fine of .£2 was imposed, with costs.
