IMPORTED CORONATION MEDALS.
PROTEST FROM THE SOUTH. (By Telezraph-Press Association.) Christchurch, March 13. Replying to inquiries made by Mr. T. E. Taylor. M.P.. ou behalf of local engravers as to tho tender accepted for the supplv of Coronation medals to be presented, to tho school children of tho Dominion the Minister for Education stated that after consideration of all the circumstances the Government decided to accept tho lowest tender which is for imported articles. The Trades and Labour Council have telegraphed to the Minister asking if this decision is final, and if so, if the Minister eipects parents to allow 1 their children to wear them and advortif.3 to the world that New Zealand's craftsmen are incapable of doing such work.
