Four boys, Cccil Hartas, Richard Hartas, Roney Hirst, and Joseph Hayes, between 7 and 12 years of age, wore playing truant from school, and were fishing for crayfish in a dam. Ono fell in, and tho others tried to save him, with the result that all were drowned.

Albert Aubersou, another schoolboy present, went home, and at dinner some time afterwards informed his parents of what had happened. Asked why ho did not -tell them sooner, ho said that ho had forgotten.
