Extensive damage has been done at tho Flemington and Williamstown racecourses, which are flooded, only the buildings on tho latter standing out of the water. A storm in the Mount Taylor district devastated a largo area of forest country. BRIDGES .WASHED AWAY. Hobart, March 10. Remarkably .heavy rains are falling. The Esk River., is in high flood. Bridges have : been washed away and other severe damage done. Some residents have been driven from, their homes.
