INDUSTRIAL TRAINING.
A CONFERENCE IN LONDON, By Telegraph—Press London, March 1. The Lord Mayor, Sir T. Vezoy Strong, to-day opened the Industrial Training Conference at the. Guildhall. . The King, Mr. J,s<iuitli, and Mr. Balfour sent letters expressing their, hearty support of the movement, and, Lord Brassey, Lord Hugh- Cecil, and, others spoke. It was resolved to recommend the, passing of legislation to establish at the expense of the State a national system of industrial, professional, and commercial training free to all scholars, 'with tho object of preparing them for entry into the pursuits for which they Are best fitted.
A National Industrial Education League '.•as formed.
