At a meeting of tho Chamber of Commorco it was mentioned that in a ffew months Queensland would have no Vancouver service, and they would havo to advocato an Australian service. The reciprocity between Canada and New Zealand would greatly benefit the. latter place, and Australia was in a bad position. Thoy wanted a subsidised lino of steamers between Australia and Canada.
Other members argued that subsidised steamers should follow an arrangement for reciprocity' with Canada.
