Sir William Hall-Jones, High Commissioner, announces that New Zealand is prepared to contribute £1000 towards a triumphal arch on the occasion of the Coronation. • . Tliei "Evening Standard" advocates that similar arches should be erected by Australia and the other Dominions, showing their products and resources. A LABOUR PROTEST. Brisbane, February 3. The Executive of the Labour party lias adopted a protest against tlio Federal Government sending a contingent of Labour members to the Coronation. , !

A number of members of tho First Australian Light Horso Regiment, of which tho King is Colonel-in-Chief, havp volunteered to defray their own expends to be present at the Coronation, provided thc.v can obtain tho Government's sanction to go officially. NO PRECEDENT. (Reo. February 4, 0.25 a.m.) London, February 3. Tho "Express" states ■ that Queen Alexandra will not attend the Coronation, as there is 110 precedent for the presence of a Dowager Queen.
