According to an interim return of tho Department of Agriculture, grain areas for threshing are considerably less this year than those of last year. ' There "are' 274,533 acres of wheat'.to bo threshed, which' is 36,467 acres less than ;last ; season's areaV;y ■"■
There are 353,997 acres of oats. Last season thbro were 378,000. ■ ...■--■
Barley has decreased from 41,500 acres for threshing bst.seasofLto 32,969 acres, a drop 1 '0f8531 acres;.
, The Tyegrass area has dropped 6198 acres, : from ' 56;550 to 50,302 acres. There' wero. 29,500 acres of cocksfoot to thresh last season; this season 26,527 acres. , *• '
