The Prime Minister, Sir Joseph Ward, has had a most enjoyable fortnight's holiday at Rotorua,' and speaks with enthusiasm of. the thermal regions as ",a plaos for rest and rustication. "I have had a very pleasant. holiday," said tho Prinie Minister.to an interviewer, "and though it is not so long ago since I was last at Rotorua, even m the interval! find that a great number of improvements had. been carried'into effect.' In my opinion; it is quite'certain that Roto-, ■rua," Taupo, and .the "surrounding 1 country ■ will become more and more popular, not as a place to be visited once only, but again and again There are so many places of'interest, and the fishing is so good, that the.tourists cannot fail to be impressed and pleased at Taupo and Tarawera.: The fishing is all that can be desired by the most ardent anglers. Lake Rotorua simply teems with fish,.but here it is evident that if the best results are to be achieved some vigorous reforms will need to be applied in regard to the fish and fishing. In Rotorua itself. there are innumerable attractions to make a holiday enjoyable, and.every facility Is afforded for'i the enjoyment of outdoor games and sports. The new golf links will in the course of tho coming "year have been brought to such a state;of perfection as to rank amongst the very best in New Zealand. Improvements are go-, ini? on in every, direction, and the result can only be to make. :B.otorua more and more popular and attract ever-increasinff-. numbJTS of 'holiday-makers ar "l tourists.
