The gross revenue has increased by .£515, and, the expenditure has decreased by .£l2ll, as compared with the corresponding eight months of last year. Tho expansion of tho business this year, says Mr. Richardson, lias been phenomenal, 022 new connections having been mado since the beginning of April last, as compared with . 350 new connections last year. Despite these large additions to the consumers, who now number 5000, the revenue has not grown in proportion, and can only be accounted for by the more general use of metal filament lamps, which are- effecting great economies, to consumers, as will be noted from the fact that tho accounts this year are on an average. 30 per cent, less than they were two years ago. The finuniiiai position is very satisfactory, a credit balance of .£5530 being, shown this year, after allowing for canital charges, as compared with iUGGI in 1909.
