SALVATION ARMY.
Brigadier Holdaway, the Young People's secretary of the Salvation Army, has received instructions to vacate his present position on January 15. During his three years in offico here the brigadier has endeared himself, to all with whom he has come in contact, It is presumed that he will be taking up a provincial appointment in Australia. Adjutants Feltlmm and Lamberton, of tho_ South Wellington Corps of tho Salvation Army, left for Australia last week to take up work in Victoria. Adjutant Henry Cook, late of Carterton, has been appointed to South Wellington in their stead, whilst Captain Keucke, lato assistant at Wanganui, has been appointed to Carterton. .Colonel Knight, the provincial commander, accompanied by. his secretary, Major Johnson, • will leave for Taumarunui and Raetihi on Thursday next, re-, turning to Wellington on the Monday following. Adjutant Albert Scotney, who has been furloughing for some considerable time past at his home in Dannevirke, has been appointed to the new institution at Island Bay, and has taken up his quarters there.
