TWO RECORDS BROKEN.
THE LONGEST AND .MOST TALKATIVE SESSION. Parliament is apparently bent upon breaking "records" this year. Now that it is certain that the session will not end on -Saturday, it is beyond doubt that for length wp aro in for the longest session to date. So far the longest session has been that of 1007, which extended from June 27 to November 25. If tho curtain wero to fall on Saturday that "record" would bo equalled, to a day, consequently every sitting held next week is a day to the good. Record No. 2 relates to the speeches of members. Here the 1910 session is easily iirst. In this respect 1003 held the banner so far, with 4273 ' pages of Hansard. The official record of speeches for this session is yet published only up io November 15, when its talo was 4075 pages. The speeches stored up since then must more than'equal the 191)3 total—and slill the flood rolls ; on. l'robably some other "records" will succumb before the session ends, but these are enough for the present.
