THAT VOLUNTEER "SPECIAL."
' INQUIRY BEING MADE. The Railway Department is- making' inquiry concerning the ■ running of tha volunteer special from Trentham to Wellington on Saturday last, when the behaviour of the train _ when negotiating the curves between Silverstream station and the Hutt River bridge, a few chains below, excited some apprehension among the passengers, especially ' in the rear carriages.
