St. Petersburg, November 14. - It is believed that Count Leo Tolstoy, who mysteriously disappeared, but was later fouud to have gone into a monastery at Kaluga, 95 miles south-west of Moscow, will rejoin the Doukhobors. In a letter ho declares there is need for him to fly from from eternal editors, and from representatives of cinematograph and gramaphone companies, who have besieged his homo, and made his life bitter. He adds that he is tired of a life of luxury, and desires to live in poverty. Renter's Agency states that the Report that tho Countess Tolstoy.attempted suicide is inaccurate. . (Rec. November 15, 11.45 p.ni.) St. Petersburg, November 15. Tolstoy, on leaving the-convent, was taken ill in tiie train. Ho_alighted at Astapovo Station, in the Government of Rjasan, with his daughter Alexandra and a doctor, and is now lying ill at tho station. His temperature is 104 degrees. The "Doukhobors" are a community of Nonconformist peasants, who recently decided to give up this name,, and now call thorn-selves "Christians of tho Universal Brotherhood."
