SPORT WITH THE RIFLE. AT TEENTHAM AND ELSEWHEEE. A dull sky and a fish-tail wind, which, within tho spaco of two hours, was anything from flvo to six degrees right to three or four left, combined to show tho Trentham rifle range in one of its tricky moods, and tho 340 odd riflemen who Journeyed out for tho week-end competitions had some puzzling problems in elevation and deflection to solve. As will he seen from tho appended details of the scoring, several good scores were registered, though there was a long and forlorn tail, which ranged from aggregate fifties down to twenties, and even less. Eango duties were carried out by the Post and Telegraph Eifies, Licuts. Bolton, Hulbert, anu Hughes (of Wanganui) were in charge of tho range. Staff-Sergeant Major EoEe was trench officer.
