TURKEY AND PERSIA.
— <t FORGERIES IN LONDON. By Telegraph- 'Press Association—Copyright. ' London, October 30. ; Two London banks—Messrs. Drummand's, 49 Charing Cross, S.W., and Messrs. Barclay and Company, 95 Victoria Street, S.W.—hayo been victimised by forgers, the first-named to the extent of .£SOO and the last-named to the amount of .£640. The frauds were perpetrated by different individuals in each case. A cheque on Barclay's was 6tolen from the lotter-box of a well-known firm of engineers.

Advices from Constantinople assert that the Sixth Turkish Army Corps has crossed the Persian frontier, and occupied TJrumia. Turkish troops officered by Germans ivero originally set to combat brigandage, but as the forco was stronger than agreed upon Persia requested their withdrawal.
