INDIAN POWER SCHEME.
ELECTRICITY FOR BOMBAY. By Telegraph—Press Association—CopyrightCalcutta, August 29. Under the auspices of the, Tata Ironworks, a company, with a capital of .£1,133,000, has been formed to undertake water storage and the generation of electricity in Western Ghats, the ranges forming the south-eastern boundary of the Indian tableland. It is expected that the scheme will be capable of the transmission of thirty thousand horse-power to Bombay factories.
