FOX TERRIER CLUB.

■ On -Thursday night,; at, the ' Hotel Bristol, .the: Wellington Fox Terrier Club gave a dinner in honour of tho visiting fox terrier fanciers at the Ken-nel-Club, shovr. Before dinner the president.of the club (Mr. 0. B. Kline), in a suitable speech;' welcomed tho guests and gave .a short history'of the club, proving that although tho club was but a young one its success was already assured. After dinner the usual series of, toasts was entered upon. Mr. H. Shanley (lion, secretary) proposed the health of the visitors, and expressed his ! regret that many who were going to be .present in. the last moment had been unable to make the trip. Messrs. Harper amTSheppard (both from Auckland) replied. Mr. Kline proposed the health' of the judges and press, mentioning Messrs. Johnston and Levy, and thanking them' for , the assistance they had given tho young club. Mr. Klina thanked Mr. Sbeppard on' behalf of the club. Messrs. Muir and'Philpots also spoke, and Mr. Cimino complimented Mr. H. Shanley . (the, lion, secretary) in,his efforts.on behalf.' of the club. Mr. Shanley replied, an'd after ■Mr. Lusk' had proposed tho health of .the president of the club (Mr.. 0. B. Klino) all joined in "For He's a Jolly Good Fellow," and a very enjoyable evening had come to a.close.
