CATHOLIC CLUBS.
The fourth haif-yearly meeting of St. Anne's Catholic" Club -was held at the club Tooms, Green Street, on Thursday evening. Mr. R: Sv. Collhis (president) occupied the chair. There were also present: Rev. Fathers Herring and M'Uonald, and a large number of members. The half-yearly report and balance-sheet for the term ending September ;'3O were read and adopted. The balance-sheot disclosed a satisfactory balance of £12. The lley.. Father M'Donald, in coiißratulating tho members on the position of the club, pointed out the many advantages to be derived from such a' club,' and especially impressed on the members the benefits to bu derived from tho literary and debating branch. The Rev. Father Herring also spoke a few words of encouragement to the members.' The election, of officers resulted aa follows:—Patron, Very Rev. Father Devoy; president, Mr. D. •A. Guise; vice-presidents, Rev. Fathers Herring and M'Donald, Messrs W. J. O'Neill, T. M. Peters, and E. B. L. Reado; hon. secretary, Sir. T. Ponder; hon. treasurer,/ Mr. C. Cotter; chairman Literary.' and Debating branch, Rev. Father. M'Donald; vice-chairnian, Mr. E. J. Fitzgibbonj librarian,' Mr. IH. Vaney; auditors, Messrs. J. E. I Gamble, and E. J. Fitzgibbou; execu> tive, Messrs. J. Warehani, G-. Harris, F. Galvin, 0. Footo, D. M'Carthy, H. Ridler, E. J. Foote, J. Twomey, and J. Flanagan. A vote of thanks to retiring, officers closed an .enthusiastic meeting.
