DEFIANCE OF LAW URGED. By 'Mesraph-Prees Assomiion-Copyrlshi London, August 21. Air. Stephen Walsh, Labour member for Ince, Lancashire, speaking at Hindley, said tho Osborne judgment (prohibiting the uso of trades union fuutls' for tho support of members of Parliament) was disgraceful. He advised his constituents to defy the law, and asserted that ho himself was prepared to suffer imprisonment for contempt. The Christian martyrs underwent punishment and death; similarly tho Labour movement would rise ennobled and purified.
