"GET 'THE GIRL FROM RECTOR'S.'"

HUTT VALLEY HOSPITAL. A meeting of members of local bodies and medical men within the Hutt Valley portion of the Hospital and Charitable Aid district has been convened for Wednesday, August 2i, at 8 p.m., at the Petone Town Hall, for tho purpose of considering the question of erecting a hospital suitable for the requirements of the Valley. The need for such an institution was recognised by the late District Hospital Board, and a site was obtained for the purpose. "Any idea what it is going to cost?" asked Councillor Southgatc.

"Get the 'Girl from Rector's' to give us a hand," suggested Councillor Short. The Mayor said that the suitability of the site referred to was open to question. It was agreed to allow the use of the Council Chamber for the meeting.
