These dates conflict with the show dates of tho Wairarapa' P. and A. Society, aiid as a considerable section of the community are patrons of both institutions the clashing will bo very unfortunate. It is reported that tho Mastorton Racing Club stewards are considering whether it ■is not possible to secure other dates. Sir William steward. Sir William, Steward, M.P., has signified his intention of visiting. s[asterton on August 22, when lie will deliver an address before the Parliamentary Debating Society on the.subject of an "Elective Executive." Yesterday was tho sunniest day experienced in Mastorton this season, the self-recording instrument 'at the local observatory registering, nine- hours thirty minutes of bright sunshine.
