Dr. Frengley paid, a visit to Palmcrston this 'afternoon, for the purpose of, consulting tho Borough' Council on" various matters.... •'..'" : Mr. W. D. More, who has been In charge of tho Church of Christ in l'aluierstbn for some time, but who is about to leave shortly for Australia, ivas'entertained last evening at Dnstin's by the membors of tjio Debating Society, and was presented with forty volumes of the' "Everyman's Library." Mr. Moro proceeds to Auckland, where his approaching marriage is to take place, and thence to Australia. Further special efforts arc to be made to raise funds for the proposed Old Men's Homo by the issue of large numbers of subscription lists.
