TRAINING AT RICCARTON.
Christchurch, August 4. Heavy fo" hung over the tracks at, Riccarton this morning, making it difli-' cult to get an accurate Hue as to work done. Tftuira moved freely aud well over ■a. mile and a half. Lady Creswick went a round of the big fences at hunting pace, jumping well. Dreadless teat Faur nus badly over seven furlongs, run in lmin; 35sec. Emus, Ratepayer, Kingsway, and Mauri were schooled over tho big fences. Eurus fenced proficiently; but galloped indifferently; Manillus was sent six furlongs in lmin. 21 1-osec. White Coekado aiid Kremlin jumped four hurdles fairly'well. Tyrant and King of Trumps fenced safely in a similar task. Audax" and Capitol were schooled in a circuit and a'half of the big fences, maintaining a sound pace, and jumping attractively. Audax walked soundly after the.exercise. There was a big team out to do fast work in the fog. Yesterday's arrivals, including Wimmera, Appin, Aorangi, Penates, Mediterranean, Penaa, Amato, and C'orazon, were exercised.
