The latter showed a deficit on the year's working of ',£932 lis. Id. -. 'Two. candidates were proposed for the position of president, and the voting re-, suited as follows:—Mr. G. P. Donnelly, 115 votes;'Mr;'T-." H. Dowry, 72. Mr.-Don-nelly ' was ' therefore declared duly .elected. •.'■' • ■■ '.'•■'■■ Thirteen nominations were received for the election of ten. committeemen, and the poll resulted in favour of Messrs. L. de Pelichet, P. Armstrong; H. M. Campbell, E. J. Watt, IV Logan, W.' J. Douglas, M. P. Baird, T." E;. Crosse, C. L. Mackersoy, • aiid H. Hassall. Resolutions were. adopted in favour of forming a sports league to counteract the agitation in the Dominion against the totalisator and sport generally, and to protest against the proposed abolition of the totalisator. .
