MAGISTRATE'S COURT.

At the Magistrate's Court on Saturday, • William.. Childs Hart pleaded' n-uilty to a charge of having stolen a bicycle valued at £5, the property of Frederick William Rankin and another. Mr. P. W. Jackson appeared for the accused, who elected to ho dealt withsummarily. Chief-Detective Broborg asked for-a remand till Wednesday nest, and sentence was deferred accordingly. .'•'■'''-. ... On a charge of attempted suicide, Clara Villiers Smith was: further' remanded.
For committing an indecent act, an elderly man named Edmund George. Corbett was lined £5, with .tlio alternative of.one month's imprisonment. -
Robert Kinnaird was fined 10s., in default 48 hours' imprisonment, • for drunkenness, and three first offending inebriates were fined,ss., with the option of 24 hours' imprisonment.
