An instructive lecturo on ambulanca wotk was given at. tho Missions to Seamen Institute on. Friday, before a large and interested audience. Mr. James Moore, the missionor, was the lecturer, and-gave demonstrations showing the methods of carrj ing and lifting injured persons. Ho also showed how to bandage a cut in the hand,,and various other wouuds. Mr.Moore gave several useful hints-relating to health matters, am' ,-ompetitioits' concerning first aid wore hold and won by sailors from ships in port. An enjoyable programme ol music was provided by Mrs. Lindsay, the following contributing items:— Misses Burke and Carver, and Mr.' Carver. Tho performe.rs: wore accorded a hearty vote of thanks at tljo -conclusion, of tho meeting. '„.
