Previous to receiving ; the board's reply, the "Sun" interviewed the secretary, arid —on the strength of a statement that the board did not mind who gave the guarantee, and would be agreeable to receive the team—cabled-to Mr. Abe Bailey and the South African Cricket Council to the effect that the board oould not give a guarantee, but had no objection to the "Sun's" action, and would arrange the tour if the offer was accepted..
