MISSIONS TO SEAMEN.
The Missions to Seamen Institute was crowded on Wednesday evening, Mr. James Moore, tho missioner, being in the chair. The following contributed items to the programme:—Messrs. F. W. Haj'bittle, E. Blundell, Page, Baker (R.M.S. Ruapehu), Okey, and Master Walker. Mrs. Bliindell* played the accompaniments. Several popular choruses were sung by the audience, and a conumdrum competition wns won by sailors from ships in port. The missioner mado a few remarks concerning (ho temperance question, resulting in six men taking the pledge. The performers were accorded a hearty vote of thanks, and light refreshments were dispensed. '
