LAND BOARD.

MONTHLY MEETING. Tho monthly meeting of tho Land Board held yesterday was attended by Messrs. Jas. Mackenzie (Commissioner of Crown .I/ands), J. Dawsou, H. T. Ellingham, Jas. Georgetti, and W. M'Lennnn. TITLES APPROVED. The following titles wero approved under the usual conditions:—Mrs, L. A. Harris, Section 1, Block XIII, Manganui (subject to improvements having been effected). A. B. Harris, Section 2, Block XIII, Manganui; 11. H. Harris, Sections ■1, 5, 6, Block XIII, Mnnganui; H. H. Dunn, Section 12, Block VI, Aohanga; T. Clifford, Section 4A, Block 11, Mount Cerberus (subject to residence requirements being complied with). TEANSFEUS APPROVED. The transiers undermentioned were approved under tho usual conditions:—Section 31, Block XVIII, Marigaliao , , Martha Reed to Patrick O'Brien, jun.; Section 85, Block VIII. Bolmonfc, Normandaie, C. TRANSFER APPLICATIONS. With reference- to Mr. P. Leahy's application to transfer Section 27, Block 'XIII, Ohinowairua, Nanninui 1.F., to Mr. T O'Dea, postponed from last meeting, it was resolved that the application be declined on the ground that an aggregation of small properties was uudosirable. Mr. C. Newman applied to transfer Sections 250, 152, Mnkuri V.S., to Mrs. Annie Parker. It was resolved to recommend same on the usual conditions if all is in order, and provided that Mrs. Parker is eligible to hold tho sections. Mrs. M. V. Matthews applied to transfer Section 15, Block 11, Kairanga, Aorangi Settlement, to Mr. R. A. M'Farland. It was resolved to obtain a ranger's report. Mr.' C. M'Hardie applied to transfer Section 5, Block. VIII, Mokotuku, to Messrs. Anderson, Sons, and Co., Ltd. It was resolved to recommend same if the transferee wero eligiblo and tho previous application wero withdrawn. Mr. S. H. Daysh applied to transfer Section sa, Block XI Maniabao. to Mr. W. ■ B. Eose, tho holder of Section 1 in tho same settlement, and also freehold land, making-a total of 336 acres 1 rood 8 perches, if tho transfer is effected. It was resolved to decline the application nn the ground that granting it would load to undesirable aggregation. The Commissioner was empowered to authorise n transfer to any suitable tenant, not previously holding land. Mr. Win. Cleaver applied to tranaer Section 13, Block XV, Maungakarelu, tu Mrs. A. H. Cleaver. It was resolved to recommend the transfer on the usual conditions provided everything is found to be in order,

An amended application was put in for the transfer of Sections 2GO, 207, 268, Enttihi V.S., from the late Mr. J. H. Nixon's estnto to Mr. I - A. Krull (ono of tlie partners of Messrs. P. R. Jackson and Cd.), who stated thai, he _ would be unable to fulfil the residential conditions. It was resolved to approve without requiring residence. Mr, cf, Hobson applied to sub-divide and transfer 5 acres of Section 11, Block 11, Tiffin, to Mrs. M. M. Harris. It was resolved to recommend tho application on the usual conditions, and provided tho commissioner is satisfied as 'to tho location and survey of the 5 acres, and that tho proposed- transfer will not depreciate tho value of the section, or otherwise injuriously affect tho interest of tho Crown. 1

Mr. W. P. Seaton applied to transfer Section S, Block XII, Ilautapu, to Mrs. E. C. Dsifchton. wife of' tho lessee of Section 5, Block XI, Hautapu. It was resolved to rec6mmend same on tho usual conditionn.

Mr. P. H. Snow applied to transfer Section IS, Block VI, llangataua Township, to Mr. 6. D. Yearbury. A report was received from the C.L.R., and it was resolved to recommend tho transtei.

' Mr. I l '. J. Head applied to transfer Section 22. Block XVI, Wairnrapa, Dyer Settlement, 112 acres, to Mr. L. J. C. Hcrrick. It was lesolved tu recommend a lease in terms to be approved by tho commissioner for the. balance of the first five years. Transfer to be approved when five years have expired. Mr. .Tames Todd applied to transfer Sections 21 nud 11, blocks V> IX, Huangarua, Tawalva Settlement,. 76 acres 2 roods 5 perches, to Mr. A. ID. Dolmt, Etsolved to reconup.ntid Bnim , .

With reference to the application to transfer Section 81, Manunui V.S., 12 acres 1 rood 2 perches, from Mr. M. Clarkiu to Mr. Thomas J. JPendray, who attended, it was resolved to recommend tho application although two years' residence has not yet taken place on the land, provided a satisfactory medical certificate bo put in showing it is imperative' that Mr. (Jlnrldu should leave tlio district.

Mr. T. R. Lamhcfs applied to transfer Section'sß, Block XV, Kangitoto, Ohakea Settlement, 9H acres 2 roods 09 perches, to Jir. J. It. Field. Declined on account of aggregation.

A report was received from the Crown Lands Ranger on Mr. P. T. Pedcrsen's application to transfer Section 2, ]Jlock XI, Aohanga, 200 acres, to Mr. A. G. Roberts, nnd it was rcsohvd lo recommend the transfer on the usual conditions. A report from tho Crown Lands Ranger was received on Mr. Thos. Moore's application to transfer Section 35, Manunui V.S., 1 acre 0 roods 14 perches, to Mr. J. 11. G. lnskeep, and it was resolved to decline same. Mr. W. J. Cox applied to transfer Sections 17 and 18, Block X. Aohanga, to Mr. G. Hyde. It was resolved to recommend same if all is in order. Messrs. AY. and R. Cleaver applied to transfer Section .1, Block XV, Jlaiingnkaotu, to Mr. Richard Cleaver. Resolved to approve if all is found to be in order nnd provided the residential conditions hove been complied with up to date. Mr. William Holden applied to transfer Section 27, Block 11, Mount Ceriums, to Mr. I. C. G. Giddens. It was resolved to recommend suine if all is found to bo in order. ' DEPUTATION. Messrs. Snodgrass and Jackson, n deputation representing a number of Koro Koro settlers, waited upon the board in reference to nu application for the land lying between their holdings nnd .tlvs river. It wns left to the commissioner to take such action as ho might think desirable. The board adjourned until to-day.
