LODGE MEETINGS.

The Pioneer Lodge, No. 11 1.0. G.T., held its weekly session iu the Iteukubito Hall, Manners Street, on Monday evening. Bro. 11. J. Miilan, C.T., prwided over a good attendance. A number of visitors from South Africa and other parts were officially received. The election of officers i'ur the new term resulted as follows:-C.'i'., Bro. It. Reid; V.T., Sis. .11. Hyde; secretary, Bro. 0. A. l'etherick; i''.S., Sis. L. ltichards (reelected); treasurer, Bro. C. S. Kelly (reelected); chaplain, Sis. Harding; mar., Bro. I'isli (re-elected); guard, Bro. Corriisli; sent., liro. Heavle; m'anisu. , , Sis. i\ Richards (re-elected); reg., Bro. C. S. Kelly j rep., Bro. E. Reid; assistant-secre-tary, Sis. 11. Robinson. Bros. Abraham and Price acted as scrutineers. Hearty votes of thanks to the scrutineers and visitors were carried. At the meeting of the 'Wellington District Lodge of Good Templars, held at the Rechabito. Hall a resolution was unanimously carried to the effect "That this district lodge, representing the good templars of eight lodges, spread over six electorates in the Wellington district, endorses tho resolutions of the Alliance Convention as published in Saturday's issue." Failing the action of the present Parliament to grant these deninnds we heartily snpport the proposal to endeavour to secure the return of candidates at next election who are in sympathy with our objectr,.. Court Robin. Hcod, No. 4128, A.O.F. held its ordinary meeting in St. Peter's Hall, on AVcdnPsilay Bro. T. Bailey, C.E., presiding over a fair muster of members. The business was quickly disposed of, mid at the close a very successful dance was held, about thirty couples beinir present. Refreshments were served, mid one and all thoroughly enjoyed themselves Bro. 11. Bernard acted as M.C.
