PALMERSTON CLUB'S MEETING, j (By Telegraph—Special Correspondent.; Palmerston North, July 27. There was some splendid sport to-day at the Palmerston Coursing Club's meeting at Terrace End. Beautiful weather .prevailed and thtro was a fair attendance of spectators. Mr. A. H. Rogers, secretary, had all the arrangements complete, and the judge (Mr. Dowling) and slipper (Mr. T. Richards) gave satisfaction in their respective positions. The following are the results:—• Manawatu Hundred. Winner, .£6O; Runner-up, .£2O. first round: The Dart beat Kelfcnham; Day Star beat Lucky Lad; Bijou beat Patchwork; Duke of Cornwall beat Kilty Lass;. Brass Plate beat Reminder; St. Michael beat Maid of Italy; Rufus Dawes beat Pearie; Ruberoid beat Barn's Bluff; Wednesday beat Kemp; Auroa beat Sailor Boy II; Rakatana, a bye. Second round: Day Star beat The Dart; Bijou beat Duke of Cornwall; Auroa beat Brass Plato; Rufus Dawes beat St. Michael; Ruberoid beat Rakatana; Wednesday, a bye.. North Island Challenge Cup. ■ Xl 3 and Cup to Winner; Runner-up, Three Guineas. First round: Raffles, an accidental bye; Hazel beat Dan O'Connell; Gold Quartz beat Dominion.
