Gillespie, insideleft -(Artillery), was responsible for a. good'individual effort,- and -missed , scor-" ing by a" .foot. Play was transferred to Artillery's end, and from' a.;good cofnel;-kick by Bradbury, .Grounds put in: .a shot, drawing* first.-, blood. for. Hearts.' Artillery-attacked, .but did not show the"dasH":,'of; former, occasions, .'and from a pretty piece of play Gillespie .was enabled'to equalise-matters.- A few minute's later the centre-forward .(May) repeated'the performance, the- goalkeeper allowing "the ball to dribble. across the line as half-time was called. Play, during the second spell was of a more' lively character, both teams giving it good exhibition of football, the ball travelling, from one end of the field to the other.
