John Alexander Dickman, an excolliery secretary, was charged with the murder of Mr. Nesbit, cashier at the AViddrington Colliery (Northumberland), whose body was found under a seat in a train in which he had been travelling with .£370 in wages for tho colliery hands. Dickman was found guilty, and sentence of death was passed on him.
