The annnal meeting of the shareholders of the Wellington Meat Export Co., Ltd., will be held in the.Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday; August 9, at 12.15 p.m. A gigantic auction sale of new and superior furniture will be held at Palmerston North, on' Thursday and Friday, July 28 and 20, by Messrs. Mounsey and Co. The Victoria College .Graduates' Association proposed to entertain ; Mr. J. W. Joynt at a dinner to bo held at the Hotel Windsor, on Saturday, August 13. Hitherto tho dinners given by the Victoria College Graduates' Association have been confinoil ,to graduates of that collcgv, but it is hoped that on this occasion graduates lVom tho other colleges now livinE in Wellington vrill be ji»=eiit.
