ITS PROGRESS. , - At tho smoke concert in' tho winter show buildings-last night, some interesting references were made to the'propress of the National Dairy Association. , ' Mr.. A.- M'JTarlano (chairman, of the association) stated that the asociation was inaugurated twelve years ago in Taranaki by.. Taranaki men, and since then r the membership had grown considerably, especially in the North, Is-land.-It was now hoped in a very short time to handle a very much greater percentage of . the. Dominion output, although, they now had a -turnover of £200,000, It was possible that the association would hold an annual meeting at Hawera in the near future. -~ . Mr. . Fisher, referring to _ the same' subject, said that the association had been' formed practically, for the express purpose of making contracts and shipments. He favoured''.consigning,' and deprecated the idea of auctioning produce.
