For indirectly causing the tlcath of a man, a woman named Mario Bourctto has been sentenced to penal servitude for life in Paris. Slio left a packet, apparently harmless, but really containing poisoned modicine, on the doorstop of a man named Doudieux, whom she had formorly refused to marry. She hoped to poison Doudieux's wife. Doudieux found it, anri) thinking the mixture harmless, administered the medicine to M. Godo,rd, a prominent tenor, who was his guest. Godard died.
